Who has influenced you the most in golf?
My aunt influenced me the most in golf by teaching me how to play at a young age and showing me how relaxing the game is. Her attracting me to the game brought me to realize how strong the relationships you form from golf are compared to any other sport Ive ever played.
What do you like most about golf?
What I like most about golf is that golf is a sport that is more of a mental than physical sport. Someone once told me that golf is 90% mental and 10% physical ability to swing the club. In golf, the course is your opponent, and your own course management skills are used to shoot the best score possible. Golf is unlike other sports because your personal success cannot be swayed by other players and your real opponent is yourself and the course you are playing.
Who is your favorite golfer & why?
Rickie Fowler is without a doubt. He is my favorite golfer not only because he is 23 and graduated from OSU, but also is ranked #11 in the world and is always representing his alma mater. He has started his own style and trend ever since making it on the tour, and you can always see him wearing all orange on Sunday. Go Pokes!
What have you learned about yourself through golf?
What I have learned most about myself through golf is how important it is to be humble. Not only in golf but also in life learning to be humble will go a long way. When you hit a bad shot in golf, you have to forget about it and move on to the next one, and in life the same thing goes too, when something doesnt go your way, you just have to focus on whats ahead and put everything else behind you.
